I am wondering why the asset ID does not show up on the Part Transactions tab when we issue parts. It shows a work order number but I am thinking it should also show the Asset on the work order header as well. Is there a setting or something that would make this work?
Direct Issue - Part Asset not showing

I believe that when you issue a part directly to a piece of equipment, EAM does issue a work order behind the scenes to track this transaction against. These are hidden in most instances. I believe you can access them with a custom dataspy or evem through the equipment events tab. I know I can print them out through the Print WO screens. I do have a custom report built using Cognos that does show these occurances as part of a weekly Stock Transactions report that expands greatly on the out of the box report
Contact me at dale,benson@austinpowder.com if you would like to discuss further. I may be able to provide some screen shots that help. We DO track by asset here so it does show up in the Part Transaction tab as we have the ASSET ID field showing up here
I think I may have figured this out. The Asset ID is not the Equipment number from the work order like I was thinking. I think this will show up if the part is tracked by asset (Thanks Michele Page for mentioning the upcoming call on tracked by asset) .
So since I currently have no tracked by asset parts this will not show up.
We are issuing parts to Equipment and not a work order sometimes so I was hoping to see that history directly in the part transactions record. I can see the work order number that EAM creates but not the Equipment ID. If I go to the asset I can see the a work order in the cost tab that is a Direct Issue work order type.
Is there any easy way to see transactions that happen directly to Equipment in the Parts record? I want to easily see how many times the Equipment is using the part.
