I thought I would post an idea that I saw in an infor community group ( Thanks to jChester in the infor - Customer community). There was a discussion around logging out users from EAM and a way to notify users that EAM would log them out at a certain date time. One of the users suggested using the Logon notification screen. It is configured in the install parameter the LGNDISCL using HTML code. They used it to make a scrolling message with the information on when maintenance would happen next. I am definitely going to use that idea in the future. I then thought maybe I could use that idea to post some EAM tips for users so I adapted the code for that. Here is the code I used and a screen shot of the logon screen. The larger text scrolls so the user will notice the message.
Here is the code for the screen shot.
<center> <font color=#880E0E><marquee behavior="alternate" style= font-size:20px > EAM Tip Right Click on the record view of a screen and select add to screen cache EAM Tip </marquee> <center> <font color=#D26D6D><h1 style=";font-size:24px >EAM Tip</h1> <font color=#1A1A1A><p style=";font-size:18px;">Screen Cache adds short cuts to the bottom of your screen and keeps that screen active in the background allowing quicker access to your data when you switch between screens. Use it on the screens you use the most. Go Directly to the screen without using menus. You must log out and back in to see the changes.</p>
