Session Timeout

in Ask the EAM Community

Does the session timeout on a user profile refer to idle time or is it 60 minutes (for instance) from the session created timestamp?

It refers to the idle time in the system without accessing the database. So if you go from screen to screen, run a data spy or save a record your session should stay active. But if you are typing in comments or task instructions and you don't save with in your session time out window you will get kicked out. Now another thing to keep in mind running report or creating reports in author is does not keep your time active either.
