Do you have to create a new Supplier Code for each individual ORG when using multi-org setup or can the same Supplier Code be used across multiple ORGS?
Usually, environments that have multi-org turned on utilize the * org for shared information.
For example, if you have a supplier (or any record that requires an org) that needs to be visible to users in different organizations, a solution could be to put those records into a * org (instead of a specific organization code) and treat the * org as a shared organization throughout the entire environment. This way, everyone who has access to * can see the information.
Further explained: If I am in organization A and you are in organization B and we use the same supplier, instead of org A and org B having to each set up a supplier, we can put the supplier into the * org, give our user records access to the * org and that way we can both use the supplier even though we are really in two separate organizations in “real life”. This method of using the * org as a shared organization works across the entire environment and is widely used.
